A very weak, 2 month old Knabstrupp Colt named Dots stumbled around, it's golden coat with small brown dots with dirt falling off it. it was hungery, and thirsty. it had scares with blood driping on it's small Brown tail. it had scars on it's neck, that kept dripping on it's Brown mane. it kept falling, rolling over, and hardly able to see. it needed help, or it was going to die. it knew its mother was killed in a fight with wolves, so it was all alone. it fell down beside a tree, now to weak to even get up. it had a little sleep.

A nudge was felt in the foals side. A golden mare was standing, peering at him, eyes worried. A steel grey colt stood at her side. He scanned the horizon, and then looked down at the younger colt, before looking up again. The mare gently nudged him again, snorting softly. "Little one." She said softly.

dots peered up at the mare, shivering, with a small voise "yes?"

She pushed him gently. "You have to get up." Her voice was gentle but strong. She flicked her tail at her son, and the shadows around the foal seperated, sending warm sunshine onto the foals coat.

Dots could feel the warm light, and gently, he started to get up. first the 2 front legs, then the 2 back legs. he felt warmer now, and he stood up, thinking about his mum. how she screamed : "DOTS RUN!". he then twitched his ears back and forth, listining to all the diffrent sounds.

She gently nudged him towards her milk, as her foal concentrated on keeping the shadows off of the small foal.

Dots went happily sucking on her milk. it was delishos ( lol sorry i dident get the spelling correct!)

She smiled, gently brushing her tail against his frail body. "Now. I'm Sunny, and this is my son, Cloud."

Dots stoped shucking on the milk and smiled at Sunny, then Cloud. "hi! nice to meet you" he managed to say. " im Dots"

"Well, Dots, would you like to come with me and cloud? You can get a drink and rest." She said, dropping her head to his levell.

Dots twitched his ears. "yes please!" he was exited.

She laughed, and turned, leading him from the shade of the tree. The second the sun hit her coat, sparks rebounded, making the atmosphere glitter. Cloud beemed, prancing after her. "The sun gives her the gift of illusion." He explained to Dots.

"wow! thats cool!" gasped Dots

He shrugged. "You get used to it."

"...before, something hurted me" Dots said in a tiny voise, looking all around at his scars and wounds

Sunny looked down, and then flicked her tail over his back. Cloud smiled at him.

Shaton quietly walked slowly from his hiding place,"Shh,i'm not here to hurt you,but you aren't safe."

Dots was scared. "whos that?" he said with a wobbl in his voise, backing away a fw steps

Sunny stood protectively in front of her two foals, sparks rushing from her coat. She shifted, and they changed to a glow, and two mor 'Sunnys' appeared. One on either side of her, in the exact same position. Cloud nudged Dots under Sunny, and they hid beneath her.

"Because I haven't fell for that one before." She snorted, watching him with a pointed gaze.

"Seriously. Want to bet?" He glared at her questioningly.

"w-what d-d-does he w-want from us?" Dots asked cloud, in a voise so tiny that not even shanton or sunny could hear.

She glared right back. "What do you want?" She asked suspiciously, glancing around, slight fear glimmering in her eyes. "Your not with him, are you?"
