Faye gasped when she saw the snake.

China stood rock still and hissed at Aden, sounding much like the snake that was squeezing her throat.

Silva tightened his grip on the girl. He wasn't going to let her go anywhere near that murderous snake and man.

Aden smiled at her. "Perhaps you should think through your little magic tricks before playing with a Full-blood." he chuckled. He held his hand out and touched the snake on her throat. "Now, now Thanatos. Come back and join Damian. Women are troublesome. You should know that by now. Especially after the last Full-blooded one you killed for me." he talked to the snake as if he were scolding a misbehaving child. The long snake reluctantly slithered back up his Master's arm to wrap around Aden's throat like a necklace. Rome let out the breath that had stuck in his throat when the snake was on China.

Faye buried her face in Silva's shoulder.

Perhaps you should think twice before stepping onto my property and threatening my family.She growled.

Silva stroked Faye's hair reassuringly. "Shh...everything will be fine." he whispered.

"Your family..." Aden murmured thoughtfully, looking over at his son and then to the girl in Silva's arms. Now that he was actually paying attention to the other people he could see the resemblance of the girl to his son and the vampire woman. "You have got to being joking." he groaned, rubbing his temples. He turned an exasperated look onto his son. "You mixed their blood into ours? Why?" he asked, sounding slightly disgusted. "They are a worthless race created by turning humans into blood drinkers. There is a reason the Hunters were created. Even your little half-blood friend joined them." he sighed, gesturing to Silva.

Faye whimpered, terrified of this man.

China jumped forward and tried to tear his arm off, snarling viciously.

Silva glared at Aden and held Faye closer.

The moment China jumped forward Aden sidestepped, using her own momentum against her to throw her off. He simply smiled and something fell from around his waist. An enormous black King Cobra that had been disguised as a belt was now coiled at his feet, ready to strike. The black mamba around his neck started to wriggle slightly in response to the other snake's behavior. Aden gently touched Thanatos and the deadly snake relaxed again. "I'm afraid your little tricks won't work so well on Damian. He has a rather bad temper and he's not very loving like little Thanatos here." he said smiling.

China whirled and just managed to stop herself from stumbling. She glared at the cobra with disgust and sneered at him.I'm not scared of your little pet.

Damian hissed and rose up even higher at China's words, insulted. "Now, now Damian. Don't let that mean little vampire get you all upset." Aden laughed, crouching down to stroke the hood behind the snake's head. "Besides...We aren't here to deal with any of my son's mistakes. We are here to offer our assistance to him. Now that his Full-blood powers have shown themselves." he said with a grin, looking up at Rome.

China looked at Rome.Tell him he's out of his mind.

"I don't think there would be any point in telling him anything." Rome said, glaring at his father. "You expect me to believe that you want to help me after everything you did? You tried to kill Silva and I after you murdered my mother!" he snarled, his odd eyes flashing. Aden sighed. "You can really hold a grudge can't you?" he muttered. "Your mother was a threat. There's a reason there are only a few Full-bloods at one time. They all eventually fight to the death until there is only one left. And she would have killed your future wife if I hadn't stepped in. And I'm not talking about the vampire." he told Rome, shaking his head.

China looked at Rome.Future wife?

Aden sighed and turned towards China. "Over the past decade the Full-bloods have been killing each other off, trying to find the strongest. It is something that happens every century or so. During this time two Full-bloods are born which is rare since most die within the first few days. Their parents are forced to fight and only the strongest of the four survive to care for the two infants. They are then destined to create the next race of spellcastors. Rome is one of those Full-bloods and I have been caring for his future wive, since I am the only mature Full-blood left." he explained. "As you can see the mutts of our race aren't affected by any of this." he commented with a disgusted look in Silva's direction.

China examined Adens face and decided that he was telling the truth.And what if he doesn't accept?It was not a threat as much as it was a genuine enquiry.

"He doesn't have a choice." Aden told her. "Then again there is not a reason for him to not accept. Shae was born to be his perfect match." he said simply, earning a glare from his son. "I'm not going to leave China for some girl I've never even met." Rome snarled.

China put Her hand on his shoulder, telling him to calm down.Would he be happier?She asked Aden. She knew that Rome went through a lot of stress and drama trying to hold down a life with her. Still, she dreaded the answer.

Aden replied with, "He'd be with his own kind." at the same time Rome snapped, "Of course not!"

China growled at Rome.Can I talk to you alone?She asked Aden.

Aden smiled and nodded. "Of course." he said and snapped his fingers. Suddenly everything froze around them, even the breeze. Rome was beside China, his mouth open as if to snap at his father. Silva had his arms around Faye, a shocked look on his face. Thistle and Senshi were frozen in front of the half-blood spellcastor and the vampire-spellcastor girl.

China raised an eyebrow and then shrugged. Then, her face turned serious.Now. Rome. I want him to be happy. What are my options?

"Break his heart." Aden said with a cheerful smile. "Destroy every happy feeling that you and my son had between the two of you. Then I can bring in Shae to clean up the pieces." he told her.

China bit her lip. She didn't want to break Rome's heart, but the truth was that she was a moving creature. Vampires were naturally like that, they couldnt stay in one place for long. She loved him more than anything, but She couldn't ignore her instincts. She turned to Aden.I don't want to see his heart break.

Aden's smile dimmed and his eyes narrowed. "Don't go soft on me now Vampire." he snapped. "You are the one that started this whole thing. If you had let the poison take over he could have already achieved his Full-blood powers. We could have skipped all of this, including that mutt the two of you created." he growled out, pointing at Faye.

She stepped up close to him and narrowed her eyes right back.I was ripping flesh from bone before you were a thought in your parents minds, boy. Don't test me.She stepped back again and eyed him. Unfreeze only Rome. I need to do this alone. When I'm done, unfreeze the rest.

Aden let out a sharp laugh. "You truly know nothing about spellcastors. Our looks can be quite deceiving." he said with an amused chuckle. He nodded and with a smile snapped his fingers. "What the-?!" Rome gasped.

China stopped him with a hard look.Im leaving.
