Ana sighed.Ill get used to it. The things you sacrifice for me are amazing. I just can't figure out why you are doing this for me.

Fenris tensed up at Ana's words before his body went slack again. "I told you once. It was before I was traded for that fake antidote of Dracula's, but I suppose you wouldn't remember that." he told her with a pained smile. "I'll be back. Excuse me." he said. He leaned forward and right before he would have fallen off the bed he Shifted. He looked back at her once before limping out of the cave, holding his injured paw up off the ground.

Ana tried to get him to wait, but failed. She backed up to the very back left corner of the cave, hugging her knees to her chest.

Fenris padded out to the cave entrance and sat down in the moonlight. He yawned tiredly and laid down. His black fur turned a smoky black in the strengthening light.

Ana shivered slightly. She was terrified even though she knew that Fenris was right outside.

Fenris' nose twitched when an oddly familiar smell drifted out of the cave towards him. He suddenly jerked his head up when he realized what it was. Fear. He scrambled to his paws and limped quickly back into the cave. When he spotted Ana sitting in one of the corners he let out a worried whine and moved over to her side. He laid down and carefully pressed himself against her side, trying to give her a little comfort.

Ana reached out and buried her hands in his fur. She was gasping for breath.

Fenris twisted his body so that he was still next to her, but he was able to lay his head on her lap. He looked up at her and let out a low whine. 'What's wrong?' he asked her softly through their thoughts.

Ana shivered again.I can't stop thinking. About... about him.Another violent shiver erupted through her body.

Fenris' throat rumbled with a growl that ended in a whine. 'Is there anything I can do?' he asked.

She shook her head and sighed.Not unless you can clear a memory.

Fenris whimpered and looked up at her with his light blue eyes. 'I'm sorry. If I could I would.' he told her.

Ana suddenly shook violently and closed her eyes. What seemed to be a moan of pleasure escaped from her lips and she sagged back against the wall.Stop...She whispered.

Fenris lifted his head from her lap and tilted his head in confusion. 'Stop what?' he asked.

There was a sudden explosion on the far side of the cave. Black fog seeped through the cracks and soon the whole cave was filled with smokelike fog. The fog was ice cold and would suffocate any who breathed it in, freezing their lungs from the inside.

Fenris growled in shock at the explosion and Shifted to shield Ana with his body. He gasped when he turned and saw the fog, instantly regretting it. His chest tightened painfully, but he still managed to stand up and grab Ana with his good arm. He tried holding his breath long enough to get them both to the cave entrance, but his chest felt covered in ice. He tried to pull in a breath of air and only succeeded in breathing in more of the fog.

Ana sqealed as she recognized the gas and shoved him roughly out the door, taking a breath in by mistake. She clawed at her chest as it burned fiercly. She fell to her knees retching, her breath coming in foggy puffs.

One of the wolf guards that had been passing Fenris' cave yelped when his Alpha came staggering out of the cave. He saw that Fenris was having trouble breathing and quickly howled an alarm. He took a deep breath of fresh air when he saw the fog and darted in to find Ana. He found her on her knees and quickly grabbed her shirt sleeve to drag her out and next to Fenris who had collapsed at the entrance. Nearly the rest of the pack was out of the caves by now and looking for the threat. The wolf guard called for help and soon several Weres were up and helping Fenris and Ana to the clearing at the base of the mountain and away from the fog filled cave. A few natural wolves approached only to shrink back from their Alpha when they realized his chest was freezing as well as the woman's chest. They each looked at each other in confusion. The Weres were just as baffled as to what to do and the healer had just left to collect more herbs.

Ana coughed, a horrible, dry sound and managed to choke out Save Fenris.. no hope for me.. and spluttered once, her body spasming before she relaxed into a deep faint.

The natural wolves whimpered and started to weave around where Ana lay unconscious and Fenris lay gasping for breath. Suddenly the Weres started to Shift and once they were in wolf form some began to lay around and sometimes on top of Ana and Fenris. They nuzzled their ribs and laid their heads across their chests. They were giving them some of their energy while also trying to warm both of them up.

The ice in Anas chest resisted firmly against the heat of the wolves and she lay motionless as her lips went blue. Suddenly another explosion sounded somewhere else, near another cave. A masked figure in black was darting around the sight. He seemed to be causing the explosions.

The Weres that were around Ana and Fenris started to whimper in worry when Ana didn't move. Fenris reached out a trembling hand to grip Ana's as he tried to pull in another gasp of air. His chest felt frozen. The warriors that had been on the outside of the mass of Weres surrounding their Alpha, started to snarl and growl when another explosion went off. One spotted a figure darting around and howled a short alarm. A group of large, swift Weres separated from the mass and took off after the figure.

The small figure let out a hiss as they saw the wolves and started to run towards the forest. The figure was fast and quiet and they threw back three bombs as they went.

The group of Weres snarled and raced around the bombs, holding their breath to avoid any smoke from them. They quickly caught the figure's trail and and soon they were right behind it. The leader of the group let out a sharp bark and the whole group moved forward to attack. The leaped two at a time in an attempt to bring down their prey.

The small figure spun around. Its hood fell down and revealed a gaunt, thin face with wide brown eyes. The small man had a shock of black hair and his face was slightly grubby. He looked a little like Ana. He was painfully thin, it looked like you could snap him in half. He suddenly opened his mouth and let out a fierce howl.
