A stallion was led into the ring, his head held high. His white coat was covered in mud and his ribs were starting to show, but he held himself proudly. He danced around, occasionaly rearing up slightly, pulling on the lead. Snowfire had been a champion show horse, but he was stolen from his home and brought to the auction arena. The workers at the arena had tried to tame his fiery spirit by barely feeding and watering him, but it didn't work. He tossed his head, letting out a loud whinny. He wanted to be back in the show ring not in this dirty corral. His eyes flashed as he reared up even higher, nearly pulling the man holding his lead off the ground.

Zalara walked into the auction arena, climbing into the crowded stands. Her black and purple hair shimmered, standing out amongst some of the others. She looked through black sunglasses, watching the horses mill around in their pens, waiting for the inevitable to happen. ZThey would all be sold. To new, and strange people. Some would go to good places, others, not so much. She sat on the top row, leaning back and considering what one she should buy.

Zalara sighed audibly, looking at the hose with admiration(luff dat word!). She knew she probably would regret the very idea, but she had wanted a horse for a while, so why not? She shruged and raised a hand to bid. She swung her long legs back and forth in a bored manner, wanting to go. She didn't have much to do though. Company aside from her brother would definatly be nice. And the horse could be stabled with Ever, her brothers thoroughbred mare. It sounded like a great plan to her. Now she just had to get the horse. Mostly, because thinking too much, she could probably find a flaw in her plans. And she didn't feel like resolving anything just now. Her bangs fell in her face, covering one side where you would have been able to see her eye, had she not been wearing her usual pair of sunglasses.

She raised a hand quickly, bidding on the horse. She had plenty of money, never an issue.

She smirked and lept off the stands with ease. Her long legs carried her swiftly over towards the ring. She went over and payed for the horse, smiling with excitment at the prospect of bringing her new horse home. This should be fun, since she didn't own a TRAILER! Great. Bright ideas never ended well for her. She walked over to the pen, wistling to the horse and holding out an apple.

bandit neighed softly she came over and ate the apple soonly offering a ride

Chelsea walked into the arena, entering through a side door. She searched the stadium for a seat, and finding one, made her over over to it, sitting down. She searched the horses, spotting a white Arabian, covered in mud and looking pretty thin. Sure she owned a race oriented farm, but she could always make room for other horses. The stallion looked proud, which was why he caught her eye. Her hand was ready to shoot up in the air. She had tremendous amounts of money to spend on the stallion, and so she'd spend all day here bidding. She was determined to get the boy.

The auctioner started the biding low and a few men raised their hands. It was obvious they were some of the butchers that came to the auction. Snowfire reared up at the sound of the men shouting out the bids. He snorted and pranced in a tight circle around the man holding his lead. He hated the men at the sale barn, but he had been trained not to kick or bite. He tossed his head as the auctioner continued to bring the bidding higher.

Chelsea looked at the butcher, hate flaring her eyes. Her hand shot into the air. She wasn't going to lose the pretty boy to these horrible people. Her gaze softened as she looked back at the stallion.

The butchers kept bidding a few more times before stopping. The auctioner shouted, "Going once. Going twice. Sold!" He pointed down to Chelsea and then motioned for Snowfire to be led to the individual pens where the horses could be picked up by their new owners. The moment Snowfire was let loose into the corral he pranced around, tossing his head. He was used to being put in a corral with other horses, not in a pen by himself. He startled and darted to the other side of the pen when he heard several frightened horses being put on a large trailor.

Chelsea tried to shut out the sounds of the horses being jammed into the trailer. She'd have bought them all, but she didn't have room for that many horses. At least she'd saved one horse. She remembered an awesome qoute she'd heard from a movie. "If you don't save one person, you'll never save any." She walked to the pen containing her newest horse. Hello, my pretty boy She said. He was still beautiful, despite his dirtiness, and his skinniness. She could fix them both. She lifed a lead rope, and hung it on the top bar of the corral, before sticking her hand out, so the stallion could sniff it. Hello... She sent him a mental message, as she could do with all horses.

Snowfire's ears flicked forward when he saw a new human. He tossed his head when he heard her voice, first out loud and then in his head. He looked at her, curious. He walked forward and stretched his neck as he sniffed at her hand. He suddenly spotted one of the men from the sale barn come down the row of pens and darted to the back of his pen as the man stopped beside Chelsea. The man handed her Snowfire's fake papers. To anyone they would look real, but after the stallion had been stolen by one of the employees, fake papers had been made with the name Snowfire. "I'd watch your back with this one. He rears and pulls at the lead constantly. No one here even dared to ride him." the man warned her, glaring at the horse before walking away. Snowfire returned the glare. The man had been one of the workers that had starved him.

Chelsea smirked. Good boy. She looked at the papers. She'd have her accountant look them over later. She smiled, and gestured toward the gate. May I come in? She picked up a small rock, and tucked it in her pocket. She'd show that man...She wasn't exactly what kind of lesson she was going to teach him... She just didn't like him, and wanted to make him ....jealous?

Snowfire snorted and tossed his head at the sound of her voice. He backed away from the gate, giving her room to enter.

She opened it, and walked in, smiling. What is your name? She thought to him, before taking an apple out of her purse, and offering it to him.

The white stallion flicked his ears when he heard her voice. Snowfire he thought. He caught the scent of the aple and darted forward, snatching the apple out of her hand and eating it quickly.

Chelsea giggled. She thought for a moment, and suddenly climbed onto his back. It had been a while since she'd ridden a horse, ever since she'd fallen off her new racer a few weeks ago. She patted his shoulder. Sorry. I really need an impulse control.

Snowfire stood completely still untill he felt Chelsea's weight settle against his back, then he started prancing. He held his head high and his ears flicked forward.

Chelsea grabbed his mane. She'd almost fallen off his back, but grabbed it just in time. Was he a...show horse? Cool! She'd never had one before. She grabbed the stone, and threw it at the stablehand. She then settled herself, and held his mane, smiling brightly.

Snowfire danced sideways when she threw the stone, startled when the man shouted. He turned his head around to look at Chelsea, wondering what to do.
