Diamond with her ears alert walked slowly through the abundance of apple trees. The sun shown through the branches and as they touched her coat, it shimmered like copper. She quickly stopped and raised her head high, searching for the noise in which she thought she hurd. Must have been nothing she thought to herself. Being very cautious she lowered her head and walked on. She had only left her fathers herd a few days ago after being pushed away by the head mare. She felt lonely and wanted the security of a herd.

Mystical Odessy walked through the orchard. She glanced around at the trees full of bright red apples and smiled. She caught the scent of another mare and looked around, there. "Hello,"

"Hello." Diamond said. She caught a glimpse of the other horse. She was frightened. She hadn't saw any horses since she'd left the herd. She wanted to make friends and join a herd. "Do you belong to a herd", She asked.

"Yes, I am the lead mare of a herd around here."
