The strangely colored mare trudged through the snow, ignoring the icy blast of wind blowing against her face. She whinnied, and continued on. She finally found her destination. She stepped cautiously into the cave, eyes quickly adjusting to the inky blackness. She had a mission in mind, and she thought happily about it as she walked deeper under the earth. Her mindset: a foal. The thought hat this was the way she had to get one struck fear into her. She almost turned back, but decided she wanted a child too badly to pass this up. Okay, Harlequin, you can do this. You want this, remember? She thought to herself.

Deval was bored.
He walked through the Unknown Caverns, looking for something to do, when he caught a scent. A mare? He trotted on to where the smell was. His black coat shone, his mane was streaked with purple and dark red. He was graceful and strong and took what he wanted. Deval was now just behind the mare.Hello there.His voice was smooth and deep.

Harlequin jumped, and turned. H-hello. She whimpered. He looked pretty strong, and the red and purple streaks were, for some weird reason, intimidating. She took a step back. She began to have second thoughts about this, but her wanting overrode her fear.

He began to circle her slowly, making it difficult to keep him in sight.Now, sweety, why don't you just tell me why you're here? His muscles rippled as he walked.

She tried to follow him with her eyes, but kept losing sight of him. The pounding of her heart was so loud, she almost didn't hear what he asked her. She was so frightened, she could barely speak. I-I want to....to be a m-m-mother... When she did catch sight of him every so often, she could see the large muscles underneath his coat. He was probably capable of killing her easily. Would he? Would her hurt her? From the way he was circling her, it sure seemed like he would do her harm.

He smirked, still circling. And you think that comes without a price, yes? You think that you can just catch a stallion and get what you want, then trot away?

Harlequin was silent for a moment. She hadn't really realized that she'd have to give something in return. She should've thought this through a little more. Oh well. She was still very afraid, but she squelched down the new fears that were bubbling up. She spoke, this time without pausing or stuttering. What price do I have to pay? I'd give anything to be a mother. The look she gave him was pleading. She honestly didn't care what she'd have to do. (Kind of a fail. Distracted by my epic manga book.)

He stopped circling. If you are one of the willing, you have to stay here. You can't just leave. He was now directly behind her, his chin resting on her spine.

Stay? She hadn't thought she had to stay either. Very well. O...okay... She said. A shiver ran up her spine as he set his chin on her back. She instinctively clamped her tail down, but raised it again. I'm willing to stay.

He laughed a cruel, bitter laugh and mounted her, forcing her.

Harlequin wanted to cry out, to scream, but she didn't. She just whimpered quietly as tears silently rolled down her cheeks.

He got off and whirled around to face her.You happy ? Are you?He reared and whinnied, sounding angry and satisfied at the same time.

She cowered when he reared, lowering her head and moving it to the right, getting it as far aaway from his hooves as she could. Y-Yes... She said quietly.

Harlequin nodded, and began walking out of the cavern. Before she exited, she turned her head so she could see. Thank you. She said, before disappearing in the snow.

He grunted and trotted away. He never had a foal and He didn't know why he had just let the mare walk away with his child.
