Flint trotted onto his new land and smiled. He whinnyed to Starlight and waited for her.

The dark bay arabian mare heard the distant call, and was off. Full sprint, she ran and ran, ears pricked forward, sliding to a stop beside Flint. She ran her muzzle down his neck, smiling. "Hello."

Flint smiled wide. He ran his muzzle across her back and stopped above her withers, moving it in little circles, giving her a massage,"Welcome home."

Her smile broadened. "My home is with you." She said.

He smiled again, and grazed,"Want to go for a swim?"

She smiled. "Only if you want to."

Flint smiled and trotted towards the beach.

Starlight followed, keeping their shoulders brushing.

He grinned, stepping gently into the water.

She splashed after him, swimming out. Soon her feet could touch sand again, and she waded onto the sandbar.

Flint lay down in the water, letting the water seep into his skin and spread over his back he sighed and stayed like that for a moment.

She waded to where he was, standing with her nose on his withers.

He smiled happily and looked up at her, his eyes shining. He nuzzled her gently.

She smiled.

Flint lifted his head to the wind, smelling something.

She tilted her head. "What is it?"

Hi ears flicked back, "I don't know." He smelled the air again and jumped up, walking towards it.

She followed, ears flicking back and forth uneasily.

The scent developed as he walked closer, something was rotting.

Now she hesitated, shaking her head. "Flint..." She said softly, uneasy.

He looked back, a worried expression. "Stay here." He galloped off towards scent.

She nodded and stopped, shifting nervously.

He kept going towards it. He stopped as he saw what it was, "Oh my..." He reached his muzzle to the sky and whinnied powerfully. Three falcons came soaring through the air, "Patrol the area." He nodded to the things in front of him and the birds screeched and took off.

Starlight shuddered at Flints whinny and the falcons screeches. She shifted side to side, uneasily, and glanced nervously around. Her skin crawled with the feeling of being watched.

Flint galloped towards Starlight. "Get to the caves!" He skidded to a stop in front of her.
