Megan walked in The Plains looking for a horse her left pocket stuffed with apples,Sugar cubes, and carrots.She sat down in some grass.Waiting for that dream horse of hers...

The black and white stallion trotted into a clearing. He was a sturdy horse with a broad chest and shoulders. His coat seemed to glisten in the sunlight as he stopped, his head held high. He tossed his large head and shook his mane. The mucles on Eye Patch's shoulders tensed then relaxed as he started to graze.

Megan put her hand over her eyes from the sun and spotted the stallion she got up forgetting her lasso which that seemed to trouble her,Then slowly started walking towards the stallion with caution lots of caution,When she finally reached the stallion she held out some carrots,apples,and sugar cubes,To the stallion.She then sighed knowing she cant catch a horse without a lasso unless you gain there trust, too.

Gentle a dazling palomino mare trotted into the clearing. She saw the human and walked to eating the apple and sugar cubes.

Sound trotted into the plains. She spotted the horses and whinnied, "Be careful! She will take you!" She tore down towards them, lightning flashing all around.

Megan looked and saw another horse coming she saw both of them she now seemed worried that she didn't bring 2 more lasso's but it didn't seem to trouble her any longer..she slowly went to pet the mare's nose,she tried the stallion after,

Eye Patch looked up and watched a palomino trot into the clearing. He looked over at the human the horse approached and looked at her curiously. He walked forward and stood beside the mare. Patch sniffed the girl's hand and caught the a sweet scent.

Megan tried to pet the stallion's nose also,she was jittery and a little jumpy but mostly brave.

Eye Patch allowed the girl to pet him. He trusted humans unlike most horses. When he was a colt a young girl would sit on a large rock on the edge of a clearing where his mother's herd would graze. He had become friends with the little girl, but when the lead stallion in the herd drove him away he never saw the girl again. He liffted his head and nudged Megan's cheek gently.

Megan smiled and petted your mane gently,She was very kind to horses never had used a whip and never will.

Gentle nuzzled your hand, she would always trust Megan and eye patch.

Eye Patch nickered softly as his neck was petted. It brought back old memories of the little girl. He looked over at Gentle and smiled before turning back to face Megan.

Gentle snorted remembering a sad moment, her mother was put with men, she was left with no food, no water, her mother died before she even got to knwo her, a mare her aunt had taken care of her, she stepped back even know Megan was nice,

Megan looked at the mare and said softly"Are you okay, girl?"she petted the mare's mane also.Megan decided not to capture them she knew that she was getting their trust and may not need the lasso.

Eye Patch looked over at Gentle, his eyes confused. "Are you alright?" he asked her.

She turned her head" I'm fine just a flash back" She stepped up.

Megan stared at the stallion and mare for a minute,it reminded of her at the orphanage,A wild mustang saved her from a wolf.A tear came to her eye,She remembered them killing the mustang and she sat down again.

Gentle moved her nose and touched Megan's cheek.

Megan sighed and she petted the mare's nose,she felt very sad for that mustang and she quietly said"Poor ol' Mustang saved me from a wolf and got shot by a gun for it,too."She sat there and old memories started flowing in her mind like she was day-dreaming.

Eye Patch snorted and stomped a hoof when Megan talked about a mustang being shot. He had seen an entire herd he had been with after his herd chased him away shot down by humans. A group of humans chased them into a valley. He was lucky. He had known a small escape route out of the valley, but the horrible, terrified screams from the mares, the confused and paniced screams of the young colts, and the angry and furious screams of the lead stallion still huanted him. He had only managed to convince a few mares to follow him, but they had all gone their seperate ways.

Gentle picked her head up and turned to eye patch. "I lost my stallion once in a fire" He was taken in by a human i followed, then there was a fire at the barn i ran and lost him, not knowing if he is dead or still alive for em to find him, but if he was he would be at a ranch which is hard to find the one he is in" She snorted not wanting to get into the story, She laid beside Megan and nibbled at some grass.

Megan thought of the times of every day at the orphanage she saw a horse it got killed she sighed lower and said to her self"Poor Horses..Always die when i see them.."she looked over her shoulder and saw dust clouds and she heard yelling, neighing, and whipping noises, she got up quickly worried about the mare and stallion she said to herself again"Great...Hunters....Very great" she rolled her eyes and tipped her cowboy hat down a little, she hoped that they wouldn't catch the mare and stallion over time.

Eye Patch looked over at Gentle, his eyes soft. "I'm sorry." he told her. He snorted when Megan stood up and he heard the sound of a whip and neighing. He spotted the hunters and snorted angrily. He moved to stand in front of Megan and Gentle and glared at the hunters. He reared up, his front hooves flailing in the air, his ears pinned back.

"eye patch don;t!" gentle lowerd her head letting Megan ride her if she wanted," we have to get out of here!!"

Eye Patch ignored Gentle, anger at human hunters filled his mind. It was hunters who had killed the herd in the valley. He let out a shriek of outrage and lunged forward, running towards the hunters. He glanced back at Megan and Gentle and decided that if he could distract the hunters the mare and girl could get away.
