It was dark, the moon hanging in the sky, gleaming down and looking as if glancing down at the earth below. There had been a sudden disturbance of a canter, in the grass and chains dragging. It was the sign of something, but the silence had not been sure. There was another canter, there was a demonic whinny that suddenly had echoed throughout the field. He had skidded to a stop, and cantered more as if training himself to become faster. He had left light trails of dried blood, on the grass but barely able to see. He continued his midnight canter, as if he were panicking but wasn't.

His next thought, was to become stronger than most. He seemed to be cursed, he really didn't mean to be this untamed. He just cared mostly about himself and the wild, he cared about surviving. He wanted to live, & not get caught. He had a strange feeling someone would have come out here, in the middle of the night, to see if a horse had actually bothered running about freely. He picked up his speed, now galloping quite faster. He had succeeded a little, but wanted to get faster. He slowed to a canter again, cantering around as if this were important. The chains dragging from his dark, ebony body were glimmering in the moonlight. He had been training nearly all night so far, he hadn't even rested.

The stallion continued his canter, not really caring if either a horse or human came. He kept focused on his speed, stamina, & strength, his three S's. He didn't care much about some, but he was already smart for his kind of breed. He had his mind focused on speed for now, as soon as he was satisfied with his speed, he'd move onto strength after he was satisfied with his strength, onto stamina. He was skillful enough to uses smarts & wits, he seemed to be having quite some fun out here in the dark as well. He didn't mind the darkness, he then shifted to a gallop. His speed was a slight bit faster, but thought he needed more speed, he slowed to a canter again. He was getting a slight bit bored of this routine.

It felt like hours had passed before he was satisfied, but he continued his cantering routine. He was getting faster nearly every second, he seemed like he could feel it. As he cantered around, dragging his glimmering chains & leaving dry blood stains, he paid no attention to anything in the background. He had once again went into a gallop, he wasn't getting satisfied much. He had been cantering for somewhat, an hour or so. He hadn't bothered giving himself a rest, he kept more focus on cantering and speed. He was bored, he felt like this was the only thing to do, in a wide field like this for wild horses.

He slowed down, deciding to give himself a rest. He lied down carefully, his muscles underneath his skin, aching while his heart was beating from so much cantering. As his muscles lightly rippled as he laid down, he made a quiet whinny in slight pain but his aching muscles had eventually stopped hurting quite quickly. He glanced around, wondering if someone or something was here, he then rested his head on the ground. He seemed to be trying to sleep, but sooner or later he had managed to fallen asleep. The stallion rested there, waiting until morning, his aching muscles, hopefully not aching anymore.

Through the shadows crept a lean cougar; its amber eyes were locked on the sleeping stallion, when a blow to its side swept it off of its feet and crashing into the light with a yowl. It turned to face the attacker, and a mare stood under the trees, her coat the same colour of the shadows, her ears pinned. She leapt out of the cover of the dark, and the second her coat hit the light it became the rich, rosie gold of the dawns sunlight. She reared, feet sinking into the ground too close to the cat for its liking. Deciding its meal wasn't worth the effort, it scrambled off, leaving the mar shaking out her mane, watching the cat flee.

The stallion had snapped awake at the cougar yowl, he snorted and tossed his head up. He glanced over to where the yowl had come from, but shook his head with a grunt, standing up. He was walking a bit stiffly, but was walking normally in a bit. Had he worked this hard? He grunted again, trying to get rid of all the stiffness in his body. He was unamused by the fact he heard the yowl, of course, it had interrupted the stallion's sleep! But it seemed to be gone, now. He was curious, but his curiosity was struck down, since his muscles and legs ached a bit.

The moment the ebony stallion started walking in a circle, to release the stiffness, he found himself cantering again. He broke into a gallop, but halted, he reared and sniffed the air...Another horse was near, he laid his ears flat against his head as he grunted, unsure if this horse was friendly..Then again, he wasn't too friendly himself. More of a, anti-social type, he pawed the ground, grunting as if saying for the horse to come out. He glanced around again, but laid down, his ears still flat against his head. The stallion's muscles still aching, rippling a little bit again as he laid down.

The femme sauntered away from the woods, not paying too much attention to the stallion. She walked aimlessly through the grass, grabbing a few blades and stopping, her muscles outlined in a coat seemingly made of the dawns amber light. She gave the stallion a sidelong glance, flicking a single ear forward in mild interest. She was neither social nor antisocial; she'd dealt with so many different personalities that she was almost beyond caring. But still, she wasnt one to be as dramatic as a rescue and silent escape. no, she preffered no illusion, since her how physicality was an illusion. She shifted a bit, and all of a sudden there were maybe half a dozen of her, a couple fading a bit, a couple seeming to sparkle. How bizarre. She shook her mane and moved again, the illusions bleeding back into the single figure.
